ITINERARY

DAY 1: SINGAPORE - TAOYUAN - YILAN

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Taoyuan. Upon arrival, head for breakfast, visit Sun & Green Farm, the largest sunflower farm in northern Taiwan. Be amazed by an endless sea of sunflowers and gorgeous blooms of seasonal flowers. Next, move on to Daxi Old Street and visit the street houses which have a unique blend of Baroque and traditional Hokkien architecture. You can have a taste of nostalgic delicacies such as dried bean curd, peanut candy and wah kueh at your own expense. Later, transfer to Yilan, known as the "Taipei's Backyard Garden", to experience spring onion farming and DIY spring onion pancake at local farm in Sanxing. Tonight, check in to a hot spring resort, where you can rejuvenate yourself in your in-room hot spring tub.

Note

Public bath is available in some resorts. Please bring along your swim cap and swimwear if you wish to use the public hot spring facilities.

DAY 2: YILAN - YILAN

This morning, proceed to Bambi Land, which is also known as Little Nara Park of Yilan. Be surrounded by the cute deers and enjoy deer feeding. While in Yilan which is known to be hometown of tea, be sure to experience tea harvesting and traditional green tea cake DIY when you visit local tea farm. After that, enjoy the beautiful landscape of paddy fields at Dongshan Mr. Brown Avenue. After the spring ploughing in March, you may see green rice waves swaying in the wind. This evening, savour mouth-watering delicacies of different cuisines at the lively Luodong Night Market at your own expense.

DAY 3: YILAN - HSINCHU - TAICHUNG

Today, head to Hsinchu to learn and experience DIY silkscreen printing. Choose your favourite patterns and create a unique fabric piece of your own. This afternoon, make your way to Taiwan’s second largest city, Taichung. Be captivated by the beautiful landscape with lovely garden decorations and gorgeous seasonal blossoms at Chung-She Flower Garden. This evening, have fun in Fengjia Night Market, Taichung’s biggest night market with its many clothing stalls, game stations and food stalls.

Note

DIY silkscreen printing will use fabric items such as drawstring bags, carrier bags, or pencil bags, subject to availability and must not be specified.

DAY 4: TAICHUNG - NANTOU

After breakfast, make your way to Nantou. Visit Hohocha Taiwan Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Factory, to learn about the culture and production of Sun Moon Lake black tea. You will get to taste Hohocha black tea and tea egg too. Next, continue to the largest body of water in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake. Take a leisure cruise to appreciate its beauty and tranquillity. Make a stop at Aboriginal Speciality Product Centre before going to Wenwu Temple, located on the north side of Sun Moon Lake. This imposing temple structure has faux northern Chinese-style temple architecture and superb natural lookouts. Tonight, check in to a homestay in Qingjing to enjoy fresh air and a starry night.

Please bring along an overnight bag for your homestay in Qingjing. The room type, room amenities and facilities including availability of lift access may vary with each homestay.

DAY 5: NANTOU - TAIPEI

This morning, your first stop is Green Green Grasslands at Qingjing Farm, where you get to enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. The farm has herds of sheep grazing on the grassy hill and you are welcomed to interact with them or purchase feed at your own expense. Later, head to Taiwan’s cultural, economic, and political centre, Taipei. Visit YES! LIFE Yulon City, one of the most popular shopping attractions in New Taipei City. It not only hosts Asia's largest bookstore, Eslite Spectrum Sindian, but also combines various dining, shopping and entertainment experiences. Stop over at Pearl Cultural Centre before exploring the fun and interesting night foods and snacks, quaint shops and stalls, and carnival games at Raohe Street Night Market.

DAY 6: TAIPEI

After breakfast, make your way to National Martyrs' Shrine, built to honour the fallen Kuomintang soldiers after the Chinese Civil War. If time permits, you may watch the changing of the guard ceremony. Stop over at Pixiu Lucky Charm Centre before proceeding to Jiufen Old Street, a former gold mining village packed with teahouses and shops offering local delicacies and crafts. Afterwards, continue to the birthplace of sky lanterns, Shifen. Shifen Old Street is connected to the train tracks, you may get to see trains rumbling by. Here, you can experience the simple joy of lighting and releasing of sky lanterns with your fellow travellers. Write your wishes on the sky lantern and may all your wishes come true. This evening, immerse yourself in the vibrant ambience of Ximending, the famed entertainment and shopping area and the mecca for youth culture in Taipei.

DAY 7: TAIPEI - SINGAPORE

If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
