ITINERARY

DAY 1: SINGAPORE - TAOYUAN

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Taoyuan. Upon arrival, head for dinner before transferring to the hotel.

DAY 2: TAOYUAN - TAICHUNG - NANTOU

After breakfast, journey to Taiwan’s second largest city, Taichung. Marvel at a collection of adorable miniature displays and gorgeous blossoms at the famous Chung-she Flower Garden. Next, explore Gaomei Wetlands, where the land and sea meet. It is a grassy and muddy tidal flat where you can catch the sea breeze and spot hundreds of crabs, mud-skippers, and rare birds! Thereafter, make your way to Nantou, which is home to the largest body of water in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake. Sail across the lake on a cruise to appreciate its beauty and tranquillity. End the day at Wenwu Temple, located on the north side of Sun Moon Lake. This imposing temple structure has faux northern Chinese-style temple architecture and superb natural lookouts.

DAY 3: NANTOU - CHIAYI

This morning, make a stop at Aboriginal Specialty Product Center before heading to Alishan. Along the way, stopover at Fenchihu, you will feel as if you have travelled back in time as you stroll along Fenchihu Old Street, where you will see many shops within old buildings selling nostalgic merchandise. Visit the historic Fenchihu Railway Station, one of the largest and most important railway stations of Alishan Forest Railway. Thereafter, arrive at Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, where you will proceed to the famous Sister Lakes that encompasses a tragic folktale. Stroll along the trail and enjoy the different scenery in four seasons: flowers in spring, summer escapes, maple trees in autumn and clouds in winter.

Note

Walking and climbing stairs are required during visit and stay at Alishan.

Please bring along an overnight bag for your stay at Alishan as certain hotels may not have lift access.

If unable to visit Alishan due to unforeseen circumstances, will replace with tour and stay at Xitou Nature Education Area.

DAY 4: CHIAYI - TAICHUNG

Rise and shine early today to catch the sunrise train to Zhushan Station, where you can watch the highly sought-after sunrise. If you are lucky, you may even witness the “sea of clouds”. Visit Tsou Veoveoana Cultural & Creative Park to gain a deeper understanding of the mysterious Tsou people, while enjoying captivating live dance and music performances. Visit the Sika Deer Sanctuary nearby to enjoy deer feeding while they bow to you. Visit a Tea Cultural Centre to find out how and why Taiwan is immersed in tea. Then, make a stop at Rainbow Village. The old houses in the military dependents' village are adorned with colourful, whimsical paintings. This evening, indulge in an exciting assortment of clothing stalls, game stations, and food stalls at Taichung’s biggest night market, Fengjia Night Market. Check-in to a hot spring resort, where you can rejuvenate yourself in either the public hot spring or your in-room hot spring tub.

Note

Morning call around 3~4AM. Please pack warm clothes for sunrise viewing as temperature may hover between 3°C-15 °C. Sunrise viewing is subject to weather conditions and timing is based on official schedule.

DAY 5: TAICHUNG - MIAOLI - HSINCHU

After breakfast, proceed to Miaoli to visit Flower Home Leisure Farm, where you will be captivated by the beautiful landscape with lovely garden sculptures and wide variety of flowers. Enjoy hands on DIY Tea Tree Oil Insect Repellent with your beloved family or friends. Next, admire one of the masterpieces of Taiwan’s railway history, Yutengping Bridge, built from brick blocks mixed with glutinous rice. It was damaged in disastrous earthquakes and its broken arches remain is now known as Remains of Longteng Bridge. Later, enjoy seasonal fruit picking at a local fruit farm. Continue to Hsinchu and enjoy shopping spree at Far Eastern Big City Shopping Mall.

Please bring along your swim cap and swimwear to enjoy the pool and spa facilities.

DAY 6: HSINCHU - TAIPEI

Today, head to Taiwan’s cultural, economic, and political centre, Taipei. Visit Shifen Old Street’s collection of alleys and lanes lined with stalls selling local snacks and souvenirs. Though commercialised, it still retains rustic vintage vibes and the charms of yesteryear. Here, you can experience the simple joy of lighting and releasing of sky lanterns. Write your wishes on the sky lantern and may all your wishes come true. Next, stopover at a Pearl Cultural Centre before making your way to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. It encompasses a variety of biodiversity and garden landscaping, making it a fine place for visitors to both enjoy cultural sightseeing and get close to nature. Then, make a brief stop at Pixiu Lucky Charm Centre. Tonight, immerse yourself in the vibrant ambience of Ximending, the famed entertainment and shopping area, and the mecca for youth culture in Taipei.

DAY 7: TAIPEI

Spend the day exploring the city at your leisure with your complimentary 1-Day Taipei Metro Pass, which allows you to enjoy unlimited travel on the Taipei Metro in the same day!

DAY 8: TAIPEI - SINGAPORE

If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
