Gangwon State

Gangwon State is famous for the winter season as it is the province that will be the first to start snowing when the winter season comes. In 2018, Gangwon State that hosted the successful 2018 PyeongChang Olympics & Paralympic Winter Games is located in the East-Northern Korea and it is called the Korea Alps. The 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games will take place in the Gangwon Province in 2024 due to its successful history of 2018 PyeongChang Olympics & Paralympic Winter Games hosted in the province. Gangwon Province is not only famous for winter season but is has its own beauty and attractive parts in other seasons too. There are a numbers of K-Dramas / K-Pop music videos that were shot in Gangwon Province. The shooting locations now became popular spots for travelers to visit.
