Gyeongsangnam-do
Gyeongsangnam-do is located at the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula, bordering Busan and Ulsan Metropolitan cities to the east and the sea to the south. its administrative districts consist of 8 cities and 10 counties. The main city of Gyeongsangnam-do is Changwon City. The travel time from Seoul to Changwon is about 3 hours by train (Seoul Station ↔ Changwon Station) or about 4 hours by bus. It takes about 30 minutes by bus from nearby Gimhae International Airport. Gyeongsangnam-do has a lot to be proud of. It has a long list of historically important temples tucked away deep in the mountains, including UNESCO Heritage sites, such as the Haeinsa Temple Janggyeong Panjeon, the Tongdosa Temple in Yangsan, and Namgyeseowon Confucian School in Hamyang. Gyeongsangnam-do is also home to some great mountains (e.g. Jirisan Mountain and Hwangmaesan Mountain) that are worth climbing at least once in your life. The southern coast of Gyeongsangnam-do, which has the second largest number of islands in Korea, forms an archipelago with about 800 large and small islands.
