ITINERARY

Day 1

Assemble at Changi Airport for Check in

Day 2 Nagoya – Kani – Takayama 名古屋 - 可児- 高山

Hotel: Hotel Associa Takayama Resort or similar/ Western room

Meal: Meal on Board / L / D

Upon arrival at Nagoya Airport, coach transfers to Nagano and visit Osu Kannon and Shopping Street (大須観音). Osu Kannon is a popular temple located in central Nagoya. Dedicated to Kannon, the goddess of mercy, the wooden statue was carved by Kobo Daishi and is the main object of worship at the temple. Next to the temple is the shopping street filled with over 400 shops and restaurants. Proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Eel Rice Bowl "Hitsumabushi" Set]. After lunch, transfer to Hirogano and visit Gifu World Rose Garden ✿. This is a theme park focused mainly on roses located in Seta, Kani City. The park boasts being one of the world largest rose gardens, and is about 17 times larger than Nagoya Dome, and has roughly 300 million rose bushes in 7,000 varieties. Finally, transfer to Takayama city for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Set] at the hotel restaurant.

Day 3 Takayama – Shirakawago – Kanazawa 高山 - 白川郷 - 金沢

After breakfast, proceed to Takayama Morning Market (朝市). This market has stands that sell local crafts, snacks and farm produce such as vegetables, pickles and flowers. The next destination is Takayama Old Town (旧市街). The Takayama old town has been beautifully preserved with many buildings and whole streets of houses dating from the Edo Period. After that, transfer to Shirakawago and proceed for lunch [Miso Set] at local restaurant. Next, take a stroll around Shirakawago Village (白川郷) on your own. Declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1995, they are famous for their traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses, some of which are more than 250 years old. Following that, transfer to Kanazawa and visit the Kenrokuen Japanese Garden (兼六園). Classified as one of Japan’s 3 most beautiful landscape gardens, it used to be part of Kanazawa Castle and features a variety of flowering trees that provides a different look for each season. Finally, transfer to the hotel for check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Buffet] at the hotel restaurant.

Day 4 Kanazawa – Unazuki Onsen 金沢 - 宇奈月温泉

After breakfast, take a stroll at Higashi Chaya District (東山ひがし茶屋街). Higashi-Chaya is the largest of Kanazawa’s three historic entertainment, or “teahouse,” districts. It was established in 1820 as a place for geiko (the local name for geisha) to entertain wealthy merchants with music, dance, and games. The district’s traditional wooden buildings and lattice-work windows retain the atmosphere of their 200-year history. Today, many of these buildings function as cafes, restaurants, sweet shops, and craft shops, but some are still geiko teahouses. Today, you will have a Tea and Sweets Tasting at Old Tea House "Shima". After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Omicho Market (近江町市場). The bustling market is Kanazawa’s largest fresh food market since the Edo Period. There are about 200 shops and stalls selling local seafood and produce, as well as clothing, kitchen tools and more. Thereafter, transfer to Toyama. Along the way, stop at Amaharashi Kaigan (雨晴海岸) where you can enjoy the greatest view of the Tateyama Mountains. The beach is also widely celebrated for its white sand and stately pines that have given inspiration to poets and artists. Finally, transfer to the hotel at Unazuki Onsen for check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] at the hotel.

Day 5 Unazuki Onsen – Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route – Omachi Onsen 宇奈月温泉 - 立山黒部アルペンルート - 大町温泉

Hotel: Ryokusuitei Keisui or similar/ Japanese room

After breakfast, transfer to Tateyama, start the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (立山黒部アルペンルート). whole route approximately about 8 - 9hrs Lunch will be at a local restaurant along the route [White Shrimp Japanese Set]. Thereafter, transfer to Omachi Onsen for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] at the hotel.

Day 6 Omachi Onsen – Nagano – Karuizawa 大町温泉 - 長野 - 軽井

Hotel: Karuizawa Prince Hotel East or similar/ Western or Japanese Western room

After breakfast, transfer to Nagano and visit Zenkoji Temple Naijin Area (善光寺). One of the most important and popular Buddhist temples in Japan, it was instrumental in shaping Nagano into a temple town. Lunch will be at a local restaurant [Gunma Local Japanese Set]. After lunch, proceed to Oni Oshidashien (鬼押出し園). The park features a unique landscape of volcanic rocks that gives it a rugged appearance. On clear days, you will be able to see nearby towns and Mt. Asama. Within the park is a temple dedicated to the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy Kannon. Next, visit Shiraito Waterfall (白糸の滝). Aptly translated to ‘the waterfall of white threads’, the 3m tall and 70m wide waterfall is described to flow like a white curtain with multiple streaks of water draping over the surface. Thereafter, stroll the streets of Karuizawa Town and Prince Shopping Plaza. During your free and easy time, explore the resort town or spend some time shopping. Finally, transfer to hotel for check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Western Set] at the hotel.

Day 7 Karuizawa – Utsukushigahara – Tokyo 軽井 - 美ヶ原 - 東京

Hotel: Tokyo Prince Hotel or similar/ Western room

Meal: B / L / -

After breakfast, transfer to Utsukushigahara Open Air Museum (美ヶ原高原美術館). The plateau has over 200 varieties of wildflowers blooming in summer and offers panoramic view of the Japan Alps, Mt. Asama, Mt. Fuji and Yatsugatake. The expansive museum without walls houses over 350 contemporary sculptures which stands amongst the great beauty of nature. Have lunch [Soba Set] at a local restaurant before heading for a Cherry Picking Experience, which is perfect in summer! Thereafter, transfer to Tokyo (at least 1 breaktime on the way) for hotel check in. The rest of the evening will be free and easy and dinner will be under your own expense.

Day 8 Tokyo - Singapore 東京 - 新加坡
