ITINERARY
DAY 1: SINGAPORE — FRANKFURT

Assemble at the airport for your flight to Frankfurt – the financial hub of Germany.

DAY 2: FRANKFURT – ELTZ CASTLE – HEIDELBERG
Upon arrival, embark on an orientation city tour of Frankfurt that covers important sights such as the Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, St. Paul’s Church, Old Opera House and the Römer. After that, coach journey to Eltz Castle – 12th-century castle with towers and turrets, surrounded by forest, with treasury and Knights’ Hall. (** Winter period will close and will replaced with Eltz Cruise tour**). After that, continue journey to Heidelberg. Embark on an orientation tour of Heidelberg. Wander through the cafe-lined Marktplatz, a town square in the Altstadt (Old Town). View the red-sandstone ruins of Heidelberg Castle. Thereafter, some free time at your own leisure to wander around this mystical place. Tonight, overnight in Heidelberg.

DAY 3: HEIDELBERG – WURZBURG – NUREMBURG

After breakfast, proceed to Würzburg. It’s known for lavish baroque and rococo architecture. Home to numerous wine bars, cellars and wineries. Upon arrival, view the Würzburg’s Landmark Fortress Marienberg, crossing the old bridge to the old town. The city hall of Würzburg differs from those of most Imperial Cities in that it was not a sumptuous edifice purpose-built in Renaissance style. Continue to visit the famous Würzburg Residence: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the vast compound near the center of the town was commissioned by two prince-bishops, the brothers Johann Philipp Franz and Friedrich Karl von Schönborn. In imitation of the Palace of Versailles, but it is mainly associated with the name of Balthasar Neumann, the creator of its famous Baroque staircase. The main attractions are: Hofkirche, Treppenhaus, Kaisersaal. Thereafter, proceed on an exploration of Nuremberg. View the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg, one of the former residences of the Holy Roman Emperors which has been around for a thousand years. Then, move to Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer’s House, before heading to the bustling square Hauptmarkt to find the imposing Frauenkirche and the gilded Schöner Brunnen fountain, which is said to grant a wish to those who turn the golden ring on the railings three times.

DAY 4: NUREMBERG – ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER – DINKELBUHL- NORDLINGEN
Today, our orientation tour to the famed Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a German town in northern Bavaria known for its medieval architecture. A short walk towards the Marktplatz from the Markusturm then takes you towards the magnificent Rathausturm Town Hall. Next to Town hall is One of the largest fountains in the city, Georgsbrunnen, also the most prominent landmarks in the town. The ‘Postcard square” Plönlein refers to a yellow timber-frame house at the entrance of the Spital quarter, on the right is the tower for the Kobolzeller Tor from 1360. Continue journey to Dinkelbuhl, one of the archetypal towns which give the German Romantic Road its character. The Minster is the impressive and quite massive St George’s church at the historic heart of Dinkelsbühl. The rectangular Weinmarkt is an offshoot of the Old Town and a dreamy place to explore. The most eye-catching structure in the Weinmarkt (and perhaps in the entire city) is the Deutsches Haus, the former residence of the Counts of Drechsel-Deufstetten, and now a hotel and restaurant.

DAY 5: NORDLINGEN – STUTTGART – AUGSBURG

After breakfast, start at the Nördlingen city wall which is the only city wall in Germany that has a completely preserved, accessible and covered battlement. Next to the St. George’s Church with its 90 m high tower and is a late Gothic style main church of Nördlingen and also known as ‘Daniel’ Bell Tower. Continue to see the ‘Brot-Und Tanzhaus” was built between 1442 and 1444 and used as an exhibition hall. Small shops had settled in the lower part of the building, which were mainly run by bakers. Hence the name “Bread and Dance House”. Continue travel to Stuttgart, capital of southwest Germany’s Baden-Württemberg state, known as a manufacturing hub. Mercedes-Benz and Porsche have headquarters and museums here. View of the Schillerplatz and Stuttgart National Theatre. If time permits, you may want to join an optional tour to the Mercedes-Benz Museum before we continue our journey to the third city in Bavaria-Ausburg, also known as “University Town”.

DAY 6: AUSBURG – FUGGEREI – FUSSEN
After breakfast, orientation tour to see the Cathedral of Augsburg, a Roman Catholic church in Augsburg, founded in the 11th century in Romanesque style, but with 14th-century Gothic additions. Next the 70-metre-tall Perlachturm is a belltower in front of the church of St. Peter am Perlach in the central district of Augsburg. The Town Hall of Augsburg is the one of the most significant secular buildings of the Renaissance style north of the Alps. Due to its historic and cultural importance, it is protected by the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict. Next to the Fuggerei, is the world’s oldest public housing complex still in use. It takes its name from the Fugger family and was founded in 1516 by Jakob Fugger the Younger as a place where the needy citizens of Augsburg could be housed. It is still inhabited today. Continue journey to town of Fussen. It lies along the Lech River, at the east foot of the Allgäu Alps, near the Austrian border.

DAY 7: FUSSEN – MUNICH

After breakfast, travel to view the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, which was built as a place of retreat for the King Ludwig II and transformed into a medieval dream world filled with all his longing and ideals. If time permits, you may wish to join an optional to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. Proceed to Munich.

DAY 8: MUNICH – INGOLSTADT VILLAGE – MUNICH
After breakfast, join the tour manager for an orientation tour of Munich. You will see The Isartor at the Isartorplatz in Munich is one of four main gates of the medieval city wall. After this, the stroll leads you to the Marienplatz which is home to the Town Hall, with both its new and old City Halls and see the Wittelsbach Royal Family Residenz. Thereafter, enjoy some free time before proceeding to Ingolstadt Village. Treat yourself to a much-needed shopping break at Ingolstadt Village, Bavaria’s top shopping destination.
