ITINERARY

Day 1: Assemble at Changi Airport for Check in

Day 2: Chitose – Sapporo 千歲 – 札幌

• Hotel: Mercure Hotel Sapporo or similar / Western room 
• Meal: Meal on Board / L / D
• Upon arrival at New Chitose Airport, coach transfer to Mount Moiwa (藻岩山). Mt Moiwa is a popular sightseeing spot that is known for the spectacular view out over the city from an observation deck at its summit. Enjoy the breathtaking views in winter by taking the Mount Moiwa Ropeway from the base of the mountain. After lunch [Sushi and Tobanyaki Set] at a local restaurant, transfer to the hotel for check in. After check in to the hotel, you will have a free time to enjoy the famous winter festival – Sapporo Snow Festival which located in the center of Sapporo city. Here, you will find a fascinating world of snow and ice stretching across 1.5 kilometers. You can enjoy a wealth of attractions such as the amazing huge snow sculptures, Hokkaido specialty gourmet options and much more! Until dinner time, head to a local restaurant for dinner [Crab Kaiseki Course].

Day 3: Sapporo – Otaru – Rusutsu 札幌 – 小樽 – 留寿都

• This morning, you still have half day to enjoy the Snow Festival. Don’t miss! Afternoon, you will transfer to Otaru city and have a lunch [Sushi Set] at this Old Aoyama Villa “Nishin Goten” (旧青山別邸). The villa was a holiday house for the Aoyama Family in the heyday of herring fishing. The family spared no expense in the materials and construction of the two-story wooden villa set in a site of almost 5000 square meters. The mansion conveys to the present the glory of days gone by and has also been designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of the country. There are many works of art, such as writings by Yamaoka Tesshu on display. After lunch, stroll at Otaru Canalside and Otaru Sakaimachi Street (小樽堺町通り). Here, you’ll find many western style buildings that currently house various restaurants, cafes, boutiques and museum. Thereafter, transfer to Rusutsu and check in for the ski resort. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Buffet] at the hotel.

Day 4: Rusutsu  留寿都

• Enjoy your full day Free & Easy time at Rusutsu Ski Resort**
• Snow Activity / Skiing / Snowboarding: under own arrangement **

Day 5: Rusutsu – Hakodate – Yunokawa Onsen 留寿都 – 函館 – 湯の川温泉

• Hotel: Hanabishi Hotel or similar / Japanese room 
• Meal: B / L / D
• After breakfast, free at your leisure until afternoon.
• Leave ski resort and proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Seafood Japanese Set]. After lunch, head to Hakodate and visit Goryokaku Park (五稜郭公園). Let the beautiful view of Hakodate enthrall you from Goryokaku Tower. From here, you would be able to see the grand Mt. Hakodate and Yokotsu mountain range. Continue your journey at Mt. Hakodate. As the sun sets, a visit to the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway (函館山ロープウェイ) is in store. The ropeway brings you up 334 metres above sea level to one of world’s top three night views. At the end of the day, transfer to Yunokawa Onsen for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] and natural hot spring at the hotel.

Day 6: Yunokawa Onsen – Hakodate – Lake Toya 湯の川温泉 – 函館 – 洞爺湖

• Hotel: Toya Nonokaze Resort or similar / Japanese Western room 
• Meal: B / L / D
• After breakfast, visit Hakodate Morning Market (函館朝市). It has more than 200 stores and sells delicious food from Hakodate such as marine produce, vegetables, fruit, sweets and chinmi (processed seafood). Continue your journey at Hakodate Bay Area, known for the Old Red Brick Warehouses and the Old Hakodate Post Office “Hakodate Meijikan” that houses a number of shops and restaurants and offers spectacular night views. This afternoon, your lunch [Ikameshi Set] will be served at a local restaurant. Next, transfer to Lake Toya and visit Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch (昭和新山熊牧場). You get to feed the bears and watch them perform tricks! Finally, transfer to the hotel for check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Set] and natural hot spring at the hotel.

Day 7: Lake Toya – Noboribetsu – Sapporo 洞爺湖 – 小樽 – 札幌

• After breakfast, visit Mt. Usu (有珠山), a volcano which has erupted four times in the past 100 years. Its most recent eruption occurred in the year 2000. The Mt. Usu Ropeway brings you close to the volcano’s summit. The upper station’s observation deck offers panoramic views of Lake Toya and neighboring Showa Shinzan. Thereafter, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Kanimeshi Set]. After lunch, head to Noboribetsu and visit Noboribetsu Jigoku Hell (登別地獄谷). 20,000 years ago, Mt. Kuttara erupted, leaving a massive crater 450m wide with an area of 24.5 acres, bordered by red stone cliffs, with countless holes of all sizes through which boiling water shoots out with a roar, resembling hell. Next, proceed to Mitsui Outlet Sapporo Kita Hiroshima (三井アウトレットパーク 札幌北広島) for shopping. You can enjoy a variety of fashion, food and entertainment options here. Finally, transfer to Sapporo city for hotel check in. Tonight dinner will be at Sapporo city on your own arrangement and expense.

Day 8: Chitose – Singapore 札幌 – 新加坡

Before we head to New Chitose Airport, let’s visit Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival. Each year during the winter months, Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival brings a dose of colorful magic to this corner of Japan with numerous illuminated ice sculptures. The event also typically includes other fun events like ice skating, ice slides, fireworks, and food booths.
