ITINERARY

DAY 1 – SINGAPORE – CHRISTCHURCH

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Christchurch.

DAY 2 – CHRISTCHURCH – GREYMOUTH

(Meals On Board/ Dinner)

Upon arrival, embark on a city tour of Christchurch and drive past Transitional Cardboard Cathedral. Head to the famous Cashmere Hills for fine views of Christchurch, which is also known as the most English city outside England. Thereafter, go on a scenic ride through Canterbury Plains and Arthur’s Pass to Greymouth, the largest town on New Zealand’s West Coast.

Depending on circumstances, overnight accommodation may be in Hokitika, and dinner will be western style instead.

DAY 3 – GREYMOUTH – PUNAKAIKI – HOKITIKA – FOX GLACIER

This morning, visit the magnificent marine reserve at Punakaiki, best known for its unusual Pancake Rocks which resemble giant grey pancakes. Travel to Hokitika to view glassblowing studio and visit greenstone centre, where you will be able to shop for beautiful ornaments. Continue along the coast of Tasman Sea and marvel at the scenic views as you head towards to see the famous Franz Josef Glacier.

DAY 4 – FOX GLACIER – WANAKA – QUEENSTOWN

Travel through Haast Pass towards Queenstown. Formed by massive glaciers over 10,000 years ago, Lakes Wanaka and Hawea lay side by side, presenting an incomparable alpine panorama. Stop over at a fruit orchard in Cromwell to shop for local fruits. Next, visit Goldfields Mining Centre for a fascinating insight into the country’s gold mining heritage. Thereafter, stop along the banks of Kawarau River, where you may go for an optional jetboating adventure at your own expense. Continue to Queenstown, a town nestled by Lake Wakatipu.

DAY 5 – QUEENSTOWN

(Breakfast)

Spend the day at leisure. You may join an optional tour to the ruggedly beautiful Milford Sound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or try horseback riding and whitewater rafting at your own expense.

DAY 6 – QUEENSTOWN – ARROWTOWN – MT COOK NATIONAL PARK – LAKE TEKAPO

Arrowtown is surrounded by The Remarkables mountain range, making it a perfect stop to enjoy the view and explore this beautiful town. Proceed to Mt Cook National Park region. En route, stop by Mt Cook Lookout at Lake Pukaiki, where Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain, stands. If weather permits, take an optional helicopter ride up to Tasman Glacier at your own expense. Thereafter, enjoy a relaxing soak at Tekapo Springs, surrounded by mountains and the breathtaking Lake Tekapo.

DAY 7 LAKE TEKAPO – CHRISTCHURCH

After breakfast, visit Church of the Good Shepherd by the edge of the lovely Lake Tekapo and enjoy a scenic ride through Mackenzie Country and Burke’s Pass. Stop at Farmers Corner, where you can shop for New Zealand premium products and souvenirs. You will also visit Alpaca Farm, located at Farmers Corner, to interact with cute alpacas. Upon arrival in Christchurch, visit International Antarctic Centre to gain insights to the awesome beauty of the Antarctic. Enjoy their latest attraction, 4D Extreme Theatre, and hop onto a Hagglund ride to experience a thrilling Antarctic adventure.

DAY 8 – CHRISTCHURCH – AUCKLAND – ROTORUA

(Breakfast/ Hangi Feast Dinner)

Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Auckland. Upon arrival, proceed to Rotorua and head to Te Puia to view the natural wonderland of bubbling mud pools, erupting geysers and steaming hot springs at Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley. Learn about Maori culture at New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. You may wish to enjoy a relaxing soak in the mineral pools of Polynesian Spa at your own expense. To top off this evening’s experience, enjoy a traditionally cooked hangi feast dinner from earthen ovens and relish in a Maori concert with lively songs and performances.

DAY 9 – ROTORUA

(Breakfast/ Aorangi Peak Western Dinner)

Take a gondola ride to admire the surrounding panoramic views as you ascend to the top of Mt Ngongotaha. Next, experience an exhilarating ride on the Luge. The Luge is a fun-filled 2-kilometre-long gravity ride on a cart which is suitable for all ages. Thereafter, stroll through the beautiful Rainbow Springs Nature Park, home to thousands of trout and native birds and meet the most popular New Zealand icon, the kiwi. Proceed to Agrodome Farm Show and watch sheepdogs and 19 breeds of sheep perform. Then, join the Farm Tour, in which you get to ride a tractor to hand-feed and take photos with many friendly animals including Romney sheep, cattle, deer, llamas, ostriches, pigs and alpacas. . In the evening, enjoy an exclusive western dinner with breathtaking Rotorua’s night views at Aorangi Peak Restaurant, the most romantic restaurant in New Zealand.  

DAY 10 – ROTORUA – MATAMATA – AUCKLAND

Today, experience Hobbiton Movie Set Tour in Matamata, where “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogies were filmed. See the remnants of the original Hobbiton village and be awed by the picturesque New Zealand farmland. Witness the setting of the movie with a large pine tree by the lake and the surrounding rolling countryside. Next, continue to Auckland for a city tour through this cosmopolitan City of Sails. Stop to admire the best views of Auckland Harbour Bridge, one of the city’s most distinctive landmarks, and Victorian buildings at charming Parnell Village.

DAY 11 – AUCKLAND – SINGAPORE

If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
