Day 1 Singapore – Tokyo 新加坡 - 東京

Upon arrival at Narita Airport, coach transfer to Tokyo city and have dinner on a Yakatabune (屋形船). It is a waterside entertainment experience meant for the wealthy in the past. Today, on board the pleasure boat, admire the sight of bright city lights, enjoy the river breeze and feast on traditional Japanese cuisine and unlimited drinks! After that, transfer to hotel for check in.

Day 2 Tokyo – Yamanashi 東京 - 山梨

This morning, take the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway (富士山パノラマロープウェイ). Starting at Lake Kawaguchiko, head up to the observation deck at Mt. Tenjo which is more than 1000m above sea level. As the name suggests, get panoramic views of the lake and Mt. Fuji. Continuing on to the foot of Mt. Fuji, visit the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine (北口本宮冨士浅間神社). Dedicated to Princess Konohanasakuya, the deity associated with the mountain, it is now a common starting point for mountain climbers to make a prayer first. Here you will find a large wooden tori gate, stone lanterns, red painted buildings, dancing stage and more. Next, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and proceed to the Lake Saiko Ice Tree Festival (西湖樹氷祭り), an ice art festival with frost-covered trees up to 5m high. At night, the trees are lit up, making it a magnificent view. Started in 2000, it is where you will see great ice art with Mt. Fuji views. Finally, head to the hotel for check in and dinner.

Day 3 Yamanashi – Chichibu – Saitaima 山梨 - 秩父 - 埼玉

After breakfast, we will proceed to the Icicles of Misotsuchi (三十槌の氷柱). A stunning natural spectacle you can only see in winter, this is one of the unmissable sights. The icicles are created by spring water flowing out of the rocks along Arakawa River, reaching 8m high and 30m wide. Next, enjoy the Kotatsu Boat Nagatoro (炬燵船長瀞). Boating on the Arakawa is a famous activity, drawing over 200,000 visitors yearly. You can see both the Nagatoro Valley – a designated Natural Place of Scenic Beauty and Iwadtami – Natural Monument of Japan. After that, lunch at a local restaurant [Buta Miso Donburi]. After lunch, transfer to the hotel to watch a Traditional Nihon-buyo show (日本舞踊). The dance is based on Kabuki techniques and is a supporting pillar of Japanese traditional culture. Dressed in kimono, the dancers perform an elegant dance that describes scenery and nature, a distinct characteristic of Nihon-buyo. Tonight, dinner will be served at the hotel restaurant.

Day 4 Saitaima – Tomioka – Karuizawa 埼玉 - 富岡 - 軽井

After breakfast, visit Tomioka Silk Mill (富岡製糸場), Japan’s first modern silk factory. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014 for its crucial role in the textile industry and major trade commodity. Well preserved to resemble the original appearance, you can tour the silk reeling mill and warehouse here. Next, head to Shiraito Waterfall (白糸の滝). Measuring 3m high and 70 wide, when translated, the name means “the waterfall of white threads’, which describe the appearance of the water draping over the surface like a white curtain. Lunch [Tempura Soba] will be served at a local restaurant. Thereafter, time for some shopping at Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza (軽井沢・プリンスショッピングプラザ). Here you will find a large range of items such as luxury goods or everyday household items from local and international brands. Finally, transfer to hotel for check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Yakiniku] at the hotel.

Day 5 Karuizawa – Iiyama – Kusatsu 軽井 - 飯山 - 草津

After breakfast, let’s head to Zenko-ji Temple (善光寺). Nagano is home to one of the oldest and most important Buddhist temples of Japan, with almost 1400 years of history. Next, continue your journey to Kamakura Snow Hut Village (鎌倉雪小屋村). The village is open for around a month, from the end of January to the end of February, and is made up of over 15 to 20 huts created from snow. The 15 to 20 Kamakura snow huts range in size, from big to small. They appear at the Shinanodaira area where huge amounts of snow is found. Today, you will experience a special Lunch in Kamakura Snow House! [Local Miso Hotpot] Here, you will also get to experience building your own snow hut! Finally, transfer to Kusatsu for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Buffet] at the hotel.

Day 6 Kusatsu – Tokamachi – Yuzawa 草津 - 十日町 - 湯沢

Hotel: Hotel Futaba or similar / Japanese Western room

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Kusatsu Onsen Town (草津温泉). Stroll around one of Japan’s best hot spring resorts with large volumes of high quality hot spring water that is said to cure illnesses. Lunch [Japanese Western Set] will be served at a local restaurant. Thereafter, visit the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park (地獄谷野猿公苑). It offers visitors the unique experience of seeing wild monkeys bathing in a natural hot spring. Accustomed to humans, the monkeys can be observed from very close distance and are especially photogenic when the area is covered in snow. After that, transfer to Tokamachi Snow Festival (十日町雪まつり). This exclusive festival is held only for only 3 days and calls itself the first ever snow festival in Japan. Just for the occasion, snow sculptures are displayed all over Niigata city, which has one of the highest snowfall rates in the nation. At the end of the day, transfer to hotel for check in. Tonight, enjoy the natural hot spring and dinner [Buffet] at the hotel.

Day 7 Yuzawa – Uonuma – Tokyo 湯沢 - 魚沼 - 東京

This morning, coach transfer to Onuma Jozo’s Rice Koji Factory Tour (魚沼醸造). The largest rice sake, amazake and fermented food factory in the world! The water used is from the snow melt of the nearby mountains, with a healthy sweetness to it. You will learn about the history and process of making koji! Lunch [Sushi and Seafood] will be served at a local restaurant. Next, visit the Tamagawa Sake Brewery (玉川酒造). They pride themselves in the taste of the sake, which is unique and distinct to the brand that no other brands can imitate. Following that, take the Bullet Train Shinkansen from Echigo-Yuzawa to Tokyo. Transfer to Tokyo city for the hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner during free & easy time in Tokyo city.
